Tanya Williams and Kimsha Artest – Missing in Action

If my memory serves me correct since the Laura vs Malaysia fight, there has not been any Kimsha Artest or Tanya Williams on Basketball Wives L.A.   I’m going to give my take on this, but please remember, this is only my opinion.  I invite Kimsha and Tanya to set me straight, if I am wrong.

Tanya was taken the wrong way by the other girls.  She was judged because she chose to speak proper English instead of broken English or maybe because she didn’t speak hood.  She was also criticized for not trying to break up Malaysia and Laura’s fight. That was not Tanya’s battle and why would she break the fight up, after she had just got called out by the same group?   When she was trying to comfort Jackie about her mother battling cancer, they took it as her trying to steal the limelight.  Tanya was simply trying to encourage Jackie and try to take her mind off of the heartache.  None of the girls knew how to take her.

I noticed Tanya wasn’t even in the opening credits?  Tanya probably thought This show is not for me.  She was also probably thinking I thought this show was to focus on the lifestyles of basketball wives.  When she didn’t see that was happening she chose to leave.

Tanya has been in this game a lot longer than all of these girls.  I’m guessing she has seen the jump-offs, had the fights, heartache, and perks of being a basketball wife.  Tanya has moved from that stage to living the best life for Tanya.  That life does not include drama and especially not fighting with women in a public atmosphere.  Quite simple Tonya is a lady and lady always knows when to exit.

Kimsha made it clear that L.A. was not her thing.  She talked about the fake people with the fake boobs, the Botox, etc., that she has experienced with L.A.  She had very little to say in the few episodes she was in and when she did talk it was critical, because she didn’t consider L.A. the surroundings that she felt comfortable in.

Kimsha is one of those wives that is dedicated to her husband and children and has absolutely no time to be focused on materialistic things.  Her family and herself is her primary focus.  She is that down-the-way girl that keeps it real and doesn’t seem to let money change the image that she has had most of her life.  What you see is what you get.  I will age gracefully and still be beautiful.

Wherever Tanya and Kimsha are, my blessings to you!

  1. Hello. You are a very insightful writer. Kimsha is a strong, smart and loyal woman. She nor any cast members know what the producers will put together for each episode. I haven’t watch since week 1 butt I am sure many people are being entertained. I just hope that the BBW platform can also inform. We will all have to wait and see. God bless.
