A Poem for Whitney Houston – 1963-2012

Whitney Houston and Bobbi Kristina

A Poem For Whitney Houston

I wish I may, I wish I might, continue the fight for Whitney she felt she had to fight

hoping Whitney can rest and her memory burns real bright

keep focused on her legacy most artist can’t touch with a light

love, hope and prayers to her cherished gift that was her world Bobbi K

Bobby Brown, Mrs. Cissy, and the Houston-Brown family let God heal day by day

don’t talk about the negative press, it didn’t matter even then

what matters is a legend can no longer mother the daughter that was her friend

what matters is a parent has to do what no parents should do…bury their own child

what matters is her child’s father has to learn to ease his pain and again learn to smile

what matters is family, friends and fans worldwide are devastated by this tragic news

what matters is everyone willing to extend themselves to do whatever they can do

I wish I may, I wish I might, continue the fight for Whitney she felt she had to fight

but no need to fight in the end God will take care of all he will settle the score

We’ll cherish Whitney’s Houston Memory, no question why, it’s just God needed her more

I’m SMarchel and Blog on it!  It’s My Opinion!

The negative media has been so harsh to Whitney Houston over the years in a way that became sickening.  I challenge the media to focus on Whitney Houston’s legacy and help her family especially her daughter to deal with this transition in the smoothest way possible.  I know as journalist you have to give the good with the bad, but please my hopes is that the media can pull out their “compassion pens” if for no one else for Bobbi Kristina and the entire Houston-Brown family.
