LoLo Jones Brought to Tears by the U.S. Media (New York Times)

08/09/12

The interview Lolo Jones did on the “Today Show” with Savannah Guthrie (interview aired 8/8/2012) broke my heart.  Everybody has a story and iNew York Times Criticise's Lolon case you are wondering LoLo’s story is one of the many reasons why we fell in love with her.  So for the New York Times to blast one of our own (U.S. Olympian) it is shameful!  Lolo didn’t quit and didn’t give up and although she lost the race she did what she set out to do which was get to the London Olympics and give her best effort in the 100 Meter Hurdles.  She may not have had the outcome that she wished for but in my eyes her determination and courage is Perfection!

No explanation was needed for the people who love and support Lolo!  The New York Times set out to accomplish their goal and that was to sell papers and that is exactly what they did.  Unfortunately, they don’t care that it was at the cost of Lolo’s emotions.  Like I said in my blog on Gabby Douglas ( Gabby Represented USA Gymnastics in Grand Style!) We can’t Undo Ignorance…But We Can Rise Above Ignorant People!

NOTE:  I want to also take the time to congratulate the winners of the 100 Meters Australian Sally Pearson won gold and Americans Dawn Harper and Kellie Wells won silver and bronze. They certainly worked hard and earned their medals!

Lolo is still a star and she represented our country with pride, dignity and courage! For those that don’t know about Lolo’s credentials…check her stats below…ENOUGH SAID! (source)
